Tomsetts zero-emissions green corridor

Zero-emissions Green Shipping Corridor

Forget planes, trains, and automobiles.

We’re talking sailboats, electric forklifts, and fine French foods!

We’re incredibly proud to be part of the Green Shipping corridor between France and the UK – a zero-emissions cargo sailboat route.

The main vessel, Grain de Sail II, is capable of carrying 66 pallets each way – representing a massive potential carbon saving over traditional transport methods.

The first delivery saw the yacht Ortac sail across the channel from Le Tréport in Normandie to Newhaven in Sussex with the first two crates of products.

The cargo was unloaded at Newhaven Port & Properties and handed over to Harry Dyer of ethical food business SHRUB by Tomsett’s Andrew Tucknott –  for their Crowdfunder supporters to collect in time for Christmas!

A wonderful team effort that aligns beautifully with our On the Road to Net Zero 2040 pledge.
