Tomsetts were extremely delighted to be presented with Company of the Year at the Seahaven Business Awards in May at an amazing ceremony hosted by the Newhaven Chamber of Commerce.
This was the first time the company had entered for a local business award and we were extremely impressed by the high standards of entries.
Andrew Tucknott, who collected the award from the sponsor, Norman Mayhew, MD of Sussex Signs, said afterwards ‘I still can’t believe it. It is down to everyone’s hard work and commitment over the last year. It is an excellent achievement and we are very proud of being chosen from so many businesses in the Seaford, Newhaven and Peacehaven area.
The evening was well attended by over 100 guests including the Deputy Lieutenant for East Sussex, David Allam, the Ambassador of Vietnam, two local MPs, Maria Caulfield and Lloyd Russell-Moyle; Seaford; Newhaven and Peacehaven’s Mayors and all three Presidents of the local Chambers of Commerce.
The diversity of local businesses who were nominated was vast from small start-ups to companies that traded or who were recognised worldwide for their research. There were seven categories in all which also included the Business Person of the Year, the Best New Business and the Presidents Award for the Community.
