That’s why we’re so excited to have bought the UK’s first remanufactured forklift.
Yep, you read that right – the UK’s first!
Remanufacturing takes an end of life truck and makes it as good as new.This forklift has already lived a full life cycle, but you’d never know it.
It saves a whopping 80% of embodied carbon emissions of the retained parts, compared to manufacturing new equipment. And by converting traditional forklifts to electric, the “new” vehicles achieve zero operational emissions.
Lower carbon, higher performance
Reducing carbon shouldn’t come at the cost of performance or reliability. Having been electrified, these trucks are better-than-new. They’re now quieter, they don’t produce fumes, and they cost less to run.
Taking into account embodied and operational carbon emissions, the average diesel forklift truck emits up to 7,920g CO2 per hours’ use. An electric forklift is about 83% lower, at 1,375g per hour.

Disassembly: The forklift is methodically taken apart, with components like chassis, counterweights, and front axles carefully separated from worn parts.
Restoration: Salvaged components are thoroughly cleaned and restored to like-new condition, including shot-blasting and precision painting.
Component inspection: Each potential reusable part undergoes rigorous assessment for remanufacturing suitability.
Re-assembly: The vehicle is rebuilt around modern lithium-ion technology, creating an entirely new electric powertrain.
Rigorous testing and quality control: The forklift is methodically taken apart, with components like chassis, counterweights, and front axles carefully separated from worn parts.
Before delivery, each remanufactured forklift undergoes extensive testing to ensure performance, reliability, and safety.
