New MAN truck proudly carries Tomsett’s Armed Forces Covenant Silver Award on a Union Jack livery.

The latest addition to the Tomsetts Distribution fleet is turning heads for more than its striking new design.

The company’s new MAN TGX 26.520 proudly features a distinctive Union Jack livery alongside Tomsetts’ Armed Forces Covenant Silver Award, reflecting the company’s ongoing commitment to supporting former members of the Armed Forces as they transition into civilian careers.

For Managing Director Andrew Tucknott, the design is about much more than the arrival of another new vehicle.

“Our newest truck carries the Union Jack for a reason,” Andrew said.

“Four of the people who help keep Tomsetts moving previously served in the Armed Forces. They’re some of the best people I’ve had the privilege to work with. They turn up, stay calm when things go wrong and take real pride in their work.

To me, the flag represents pride, teamwork and looking out for one another. That’s exactly the culture we’re building at Tomsetts.”

The new vehicle joins a rapidly expanding fleet as the company continues to invest in modern, efficient equipment to support growing customer demand.

During the year, Tomsetts has expanded its fleet from 16 to 21 vehicles, representing one of the company’s most significant periods of investment and growth.

As the business continues to grow, Tomsetts is also expanding its team and is actively recruiting HGV Class 1 drivers and commercial vehicle workshop technicians at its Newhaven headquarters.

Andrew believes that many of the qualities developed during military service translate naturally into the transport industry.

“Professionalism, responsibility, teamwork and pride in doing a job properly are qualities we value every day,” he said. “If you’ve served in the Armed Forces and are looking for your next opportunity, we’d love to hear from you. You’ll be joining a team where you’ll be in good company.”

Tomsetts Distribution is proud to hold the Armed Forces Covenant Silver Award, recognising the company’s commitment to supporting veterans, reservists and members of the Armed Forces community through employment and workplace policies.

Tomsetts would like to thank MAN Truck & Bus UK for supplying the new vehicle and Grayers Graphics for creating the distinctive livery that celebrates both the company’s Armed Forces commitment and its proud British heritage.

As Tomsetts continues to invest in both its fleet and its people, the new truck represents more than another vehicle on the road. It reflects the values that continue to drive the business forward—professionalism, teamwork and pride in delivering the very best service for customers.
