Tomsetts invests in new electric forklift to strengthen warehouse operations
Tomsetts Distribution has welcomed a new Mexmast electric forklift to its Newhaven premises, adding to the company’s warehouse handling capabilities.
Already hard at work, the new counterbalance forklift is helping the team manage the daily movement of goods, from loading and unloading vehicles to handling and positioning stock within the warehouse.
The electric-powered machine offers quieter operation, with no diesel exhaust emissions at the point of use, making it a practical addition to Tomsetts’ ongoing sustainability programme.
The forklift was supplied by Mexmast, another long-established, family-owned Sussex business with more than 30 years’ experience in materials handling equipment. Like Tomsetts, Mexmast places great importance on personal service, building customer relationships and understanding the needs of the businesses it supports.
While much of Tomsetts’ recent investment has focused on its expanding transport fleet, the new forklift demonstrates the importance of having the right equipment behind the scenes too, keeping warehouse operations running smoothly and goods moving efficiently.
Another positive step for Tomsetts as the company continues to invest in its people, equipment and more sustainable ways of working.
