In another exciting step on our sustainability mission, we’ve replaced our fleet of diesel forklift trucks with zero-emissions, fully electric models from Electrofit Industrial Solutions. The switch should save an estimated 24 tonnes of CO2e per year: the equivalent of 400 economy flights from London to Paris!
More than just saving carbon emissions
We’re on a drive to cut our emissions, but there’s a truckload of other benefits too. Sustainability is more than carbon cutting: it’s great for business, it improves air quality, and it often cuts running costs.
That’s certainly what we’ve found with the new forklifts.
They’re not pumping out diesel fumes in the workshop and yard, they’re quiet and cheaper to run, and the team loves driving them.
They also help give our customers confidence that we’re doing everything we can to minimise the environmental impact of our service.

We’ve crunched the numbers and we’re putting a plan in place to get to net zero carbon emissions by 2040, including scope 3 emissions. It’s a long road but we’re throwing everything at it.
